GMDC is having work permit over an area of 363 ha in S.No. 136  and 125/1 and 100/1  in Shivrajpur Taluka of Panchmahal dist. for disposal of manganese ore waste dump.   Waste dump is containing pyrolusite (MnO2) Psilomkelan (MnO2), H2O and Braunite Mn (Mn,Si)2O4  etc. which are the main manganese ore. The old ore is low grade having 14 – 16% manganese content.  The dump material is being sold to mainly captive users of Gujarat.
